Enrollment Terms and Conditions

Program Provider: MobilizeGreen
Effective Date: October 10, 2026
Contact: legal [at] mobilizegreen.org

1. About These Terms

These Enrollment Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in GIS Career Headstart, a professional development program operated by MOBILIZEGREEN INC. (“MobilizeGreen,” “we,” or “us”).

These Terms explain what participants can expect from the program, their responsibilities, and the policies governing enrollment, payment, refunds, project work, and participation.

By accepting these Terms during enrollment, you enter into an agreement with MobilizeGreen.

Your enrollment confirmation identifies your selected cohort, schedule, tuition, program package, and any other cohort-specific details. Those details form part of your enrollment agreement.

2. Program Overview

GIS Career Headstart is an online, project-based career development program designed for individuals with foundational geographic information systems (GIS) skills.

Participants apply their skills to realistic GIS challenges, collaborate with peers, receive professional feedback, and develop portfolio materials.

The program generally includes live online sessions, independent work, team activities, professional review, and career development resources.

The program's duration, schedule, delivery format, and included services are described on the applicable enrollment page and confirmed at enrollment.

GIS Career Headstart is an educational and professional development program. It is not employment, an internship, an accredited academic degree, or a job-placement service.

Projects may be simulated, based on real-world scenarios, or developed with outside organizations. Projects are not necessarily commissioned by an external client.

3. Eligibility and Enrollment

Applicants must demonstrate sufficient foundational GIS knowledge to participate meaningfully.

Admission is subject to application review and cohort capacity.

Enrollment is confirmed only after:

  • MobilizeGreen approves the application.

  • The participant selects an available cohort and enrollment package.

  • The participant accepts these Terms.

  • Required payment is successfully received.

An application approval does not guarantee an indefinitely reserved place. Any enrollment deadline will be communicated before payment.

If MobilizeGreen declines an enrollment after collecting payment, the payment will be refunded.

4. Program Schedule and Participation

The applicable cohort schedule, program duration, live session times, and expected weekly commitment will be provided before enrollment.

Participants are responsible for reviewing those details and selecting a cohort they can reasonably attend.

Participants agree to:

  • Participate in scheduled activities in good faith.

  • Contribute responsibly to assigned team projects.

  • Communicate about scheduling conflicts.

  • Meet reasonable project deadlines.

  • Treat participants, coaches, reviewers, and staff respectfully.

  • Follow applicable confidentiality, data-use, and intellectual-property requirements.

MobilizeGreen does not guarantee that missed live sessions or activities can be repeated individually.

Completion recognition, where offered, may depend on meeting participation and project requirements communicated to participants.

5. Tuition and Included Services

Tuition is based on the enrollment package selected at checkout.

The applicable price, payment terms, and included benefits will be displayed before payment and recorded in the enrollment confirmation.

GIS Career Headstart may offer different packages, including a standard program and optional enhanced career-support packages.

Included services may consist of:

  • Live project-based cohort activities.

  • Professional GIS feedback.

  • Portfolio development support.

  • Career coaching.

  • Career preparation resources.

  • Access to designated learning or career platforms.

Only the services expressly identified in the participant's selected enrollment package are included.

MobilizeGreen will not impose additional mandatory program charges without prior disclosure and agreement.

Participants are responsible for personal equipment, internet service, and separately disclosed third-party software expenses.

6. Payment and Enrollment Confirmation

Unless an alternative payment arrangement is expressly offered, tuition must be paid in full to confirm enrollment.

Payments are processed through authorized third-party providers.

After successful payment, participants will receive confirmation of their selected cohort, enrollment package, payment, and onboarding instructions.

If a payment is declined, reversed, or remains unpaid, MobilizeGreen may suspend access until the issue is resolved, subject to applicable law.

7. Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Try the program for seven days. If it's not right for you, you can withdraw for a full refund.

Participants may withdraw for a full tuition refund through 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the seventh calendar day after their cohort's official start date.

For example, if a cohort begins June 20, the full-refund deadline is June 27 at 11:59 PM ET.

The exact refund deadline will be displayed during enrollment and included in the enrollment confirmation.

How to withdraw

Participants must email careerreadiness [at] mobilizegreen.org before the refund deadline, identifying their name, cohort, and request to withdraw. No explanation is required.

A withdrawal request is considered submitted when the email is received at the designated address before the deadline.

Eligible refunds include the full tuition paid for the selected enrollment package, including any Plus upgrade.

MobilizeGreen will initiate eligible refunds to the original payment method within 10 business days of receiving the qualifying withdrawal request. Additional processing time may be required by the payment provider or financial institution.

After the seven-day withdrawal period, tuition is generally nonrefundable, except where required by law or otherwise provided in these Terms.

Missing sessions or discontinuing participation without submitting a withdrawal request does not constitute withdrawal.

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory cancellation or refund rights under applicable law.

8. Career Coaching

Participants receive the coaching services identified in their selected enrollment package.

Where a package includes additional post-program coaching, the number, length, and availability period of those sessions will be disclosed before enrollment.

Coaching appointments are scheduled based on mutual availability.

Unless different terms are disclosed at enrollment:

  • Each appointment may be rescheduled once with at least 24 hours' notice.

  • Missed appointments or late cancellations may count as completed sessions, subject to reasonable exceptions.

  • Time-limited coaching benefits must be used within the stated availability period, provided MobilizeGreen offers reasonable scheduling opportunities.

If MobilizeGreen cannot deliver a promised coaching session, it will offer an alternative appointment or an appropriate refund for the undelivered service.

Career coaching does not guarantee employment, interviews, job offers, or other specific professional outcomes.

9. Participant Conduct

Participants must maintain a respectful, professional, and collaborative learning environment.

Prohibited conduct includes harassment, discrimination, threats, intentional disruption, plagiarism, unauthorized access to systems, misuse of project data, and serious confidentiality violations.

MobilizeGreen may respond through warnings, participation restrictions, reassignment, or removal from the program.

When reasonably practicable, participants will be informed of concerns and given an opportunity to respond.

Immediate action may be taken when necessary to protect safety, privacy, confidential information, or program systems.

Refund eligibility following removal will be determined under applicable law, these Terms, and the circumstances involved.

10. Project Work and Intellectual Property

Participants retain ownership of their original individual work. MobilizeGreen retains ownership of its program materials.

Participants retain ownership of original materials they independently create during the program, subject to applicable third-party rights and disclosed project-specific agreements.

MobilizeGreen retains ownership of its curriculum, instructional materials, templates, project briefs, branding, and proprietary resources.

Team-created deliverables may include contributions from multiple participants. No participant receives exclusive ownership of another person's original contributions merely through team participation.

Participants grant MobilizeGreen a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to use submitted work as reasonably necessary for program instruction, collaboration, feedback, assessment, and administration.

This license does not authorize public promotional use of identifiable participant work without separate permission.

Participants must comply with applicable third-party data licenses, confidentiality obligations, and intellectual-property rights.

Material project-specific restrictions will be disclosed before the affected project begins. Any additional transfer of ownership rights requires a separate agreement.

11. Portfolio Publication

Participants may use their original contributions and authorized project outputs in resumes, portfolios, professional profiles, and job applications.

Participants must:

  • Accurately describe their role and contributions.

  • Credit collaborators appropriately.

  • Respect third-party rights and data licenses.

  • Avoid publishing confidential or restricted information.

  • Obtain necessary permission before sharing another person's work.

  • Represent the experience accurately as project-based professional development.

Participants may describe their work as GIS Career Headstart project experience but may not misrepresent the program as employment, an internship, or paid client work unless that description is factually accurate.

MobilizeGreen may request removal or modification of published materials that violate confidentiality or intellectual-property requirements.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

MobilizeGreen collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with applications, enrollment, payments, program participation, coaching, and communications.

Our data practices, including how information is collected, used, shared, and retained, are described in the MobilizeGreen Privacy Notice.

Participants are responsible for respecting the privacy of other participants, coaches, reviewers, and staff. Personal information obtained through the program may not be shared or used outside authorized program activities without permission or another lawful basis..

13. Confidentiality

Participants may encounter confidential project information, unpublished materials, private team communications, or restricted datasets.

Participants agree to use confidential information only for authorized program purposes and not disclose it without permission.

These obligations do not restrict legally protected disclosures or information that is lawfully public or independently developed without use of confidential materials.

Participants must not upload restricted datasets or sensitive personal information to program platforms without appropriate authorization.

14. Technology and Third-Party Platforms

Participants are responsible for having internet access and equipment reasonably capable of supporting program activities.

Any essential software requirements and separately payable expenses will be disclosed before enrollment.

MobilizeGreen may use third-party platforms for learning, communication, project collaboration, coaching, and payments.

Those platforms may operate under their own terms and privacy notices.

MobilizeGreen will make reasonable efforts to address technology disruptions that materially affect promised program activities, including providing alternatives or rescheduling when appropriate.

15. Recordings and Promotional Use

MobilizeGreen may record instructional sessions or presentations when participants have received appropriate advance notice.

Private coaching sessions will not be recorded without appropriate notice and consent.

Participants may not record or publicly distribute sessions, coaching conversations, or other participants' personal information without authorization.

Public promotional use of an identifiable participant's image, testimonial, or original project work will require separate permission unless otherwise permitted by law.

Declining optional promotional consent will not affect program eligibility.

16. Program Changes, Postponement, and Cancellation

MobilizeGreen may make reasonable adjustments to facilitators, reviewers, project assignments, schedules, and delivery methods while maintaining the program's essential commitments.

If MobilizeGreen cancels a cohort before it begins, affected participants may choose to transfer to another available cohort or receive a full tuition refund.

If a cohort is postponed and the revised schedule does not work for a participant, the participant may request a full refund.

If a material change after the program begins prevents MobilizeGreen from delivering a substantial promised service, it will offer a reasonable alternative or an appropriate refund for the undelivered portion.

MobilizeGreen will communicate material changes as promptly as reasonably possible.

17. Career Outcomes and No Employment Guarantee

GIS Career Headstart provides project-based learning, professional feedback, portfolio development, and career support.

MobilizeGreen does not guarantee:

  • Employment, internships, or job offers.

  • Interviews or employer introductions.

  • Particular salaries or career advancement.

  • Recognition of program work as professional employment experience.

  • Specific hiring outcomes.

Employers independently evaluate candidates and make hiring decisions.

Any completion credential represents participation or achievement of stated program requirements, not professional licensure or accredited academic credit unless expressly identified otherwise.

18. Accessibility and Accommodations

MobilizeGreen aims to provide an accessible learning environment.

Participants who need reasonable accommodations may contact careerreadiness@mobilizegreen.org.

Requests will be considered individually in accordance with applicable law and the nature of the program.

19. Limits of Responsibility

MobilizeGreen is responsible for delivering the services expressly promised in the enrollment materials, subject to these Terms and applicable law.

MobilizeGreen does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party services or specific career outcomes.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, neither party is responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from participation, except where such limitations are prohibited or would improperly restrict liability for serious misconduct or non-waivable obligations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

20. Questions, Complaints, and Disputes

  • Participants are encouraged to contact MobilizeGreen promptly if concerns arise.

  • Questions or complaints may be submitted to legal[at]mobilizegreen.org.

  • MobilizeGreen will make reasonable efforts to acknowledge and respond to written complaints in a timely manner.

  • If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue available legal remedies.

  • These Terms do not require private arbitration or waive participation in class actions.

  • Nothing in these Terms restricts mandatory consumer rights or access to regulatory authorities.

21. General Terms

  • Entire Agreement. These Terms, the selected enrollment package, enrollment confirmation, and any expressly incorporated policies form the agreement governing participation.

  • Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

  • Governing Law and Jurisdiction. These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action arising from these Terms or participation in GIS Career Headstart shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in the District of Columbia, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in this provision limits any mandatory consumer protection rights or legal remedies available to participants under applicable law.

  • No Waiver. Failure to enforce a provision does not automatically waive the right to enforce it later.

  • Changes to Terms. The version accepted at enrollment governs that enrollment. Material changes affecting enrolled participants require appropriate notice and, where legally necessary, consent.

  • Electronic Acceptance. Participants may accept these Terms electronically. MobilizeGreen may retain records of the accepted version, date, and enrollment transaction.

  • Communications. MobilizeGreen may send program-related notices to the email address supplied during enrollment.
