  2. Many of the photos and videos come from our awesome interns who have taken photos during or provided photos from their internship MobilizeGreen internship.  We are deeply grateful to participation in our program.  Specific thanks goes out to these interns: Jake Dunton, the beautiful photo of Lake Tahoe in California that is on the "contact us" page; and LaTasha Waneuka for two photos on the “about us” page.  One of her and one of two Native American young people working on a U.S. Forest Service outreach and engagement event.
  3. In 2009, the British Council organized a photography competition as part of its global climate change program. Fourteen Climate Advocates from Turkey participated. These advocates came "from different walks of life, [and were] very enthusiastic to contribute to make change in environmental behavior toward low-carbon economy," according to science projects coordinator Esra Saruhan. The first-place winning photograph is A flower struggles for life amid one of Istanbul's most crowded urban areas. Salih Ağir took the photograph. © Salih Ağır/British Council Turkey.
